Two new favorites in my makeup collection that I brought home with me from the states are two amazing products from the Ambient Lighting series by Hourglass. Hourglass is one of many brands that is hard to get in Norway, so a visit to Sephora is a must when we’re traveling!
The main thing that stands out with Hourglass products is the packaging. It both looks and feels luxurious, and is one of those products you’re almost too scared to touch in fear of breaking it. These might be the most expensive products I own in my collection, but considering the quality of Hourglass products, the high price point is definitely worth it.
Hourglass Ambient Lighting Finishing Powder is a universal finishing powder with a luminous finish to diffuse, soften and set makeup. I got mine in the shade Ethereal Lights, which is an opalescent sheer cool-white powder. This beautiful powder can be used as a finishing powder to set your makeup, or as a highlighter for a soft glow. On the days where my base consists of matte products, I love using this powder all around my face with a big fluffy powder brush to bring back some radiance to my face. I also love to use this with a compact highlighter brush on the highest points of my face, to give a gorgeous soft glow. If you have oily skin you should be careful when using this product in your t-zone as it can enhance the oiliness.
The bronzer from the Ambient Lighting series has become a holy grail for me. You can never go wrong with this soft powdered bronzer. It does the job for you with no effort at all, as it blends out beautifully and melts into the skin leaving a natural sun-kissed glow. I don’t know what else to say about this product other than it’s something you need in your life. It’s that good. I got mine in the shade Nude Bronze Light, which is perfect for fair skin tones.
