In September, a new chapter of my life begins that I have wanted for almost a year – I am finally moving home! I moved to the capital of Norway in 2017 to study and work, and it’s been two fun years with lots of new knowledge and memories. Unfortunately, the adventure has to end, and we’re now heading home to the town Haugesund on the west coast of Norway. It’s been a blast living close to Oslo, but I’ve realized after two years that I enjoy a vacation in Oslo more than actually living close to it. I’m looking forward to going back to the west coast, especially back to my family and long-time friends.
I’ve been spending hours daydreaming on Pinterest to get inspiration for the new apartment. I love cozy surroundings, and a few interior design styles that inspire me are the Scandinavian and minimalistic style with hints of greens and wooden. A few colors I know I’ll be using in the new place is black, white, gold and greens. I’ve already ordered a beautiful oak veneer brown stained table which I can’t wait to get up, and a black custom-made BESTÅ tv unit from IKEA. I’m looking forward to decorating the apartment, and hope the next four weeks will pass by quickly, so I can start the process of turning the apartment into our home!
